Guesty Media ("we", "us") builds websites and shoots photography for businesses in Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this site we receive the details you type in: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, what you need and anything you write about your business. If you email or message us on Instagram, we keep that correspondence.
When we work together we may also hold your business details, billing details, the files you send us and the photos and website content we produce for you.
Our website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people look at. It sets cookies in your browser for that purpose and sends usage data, with your IP address shortened, to Google. We do not use it for advertising. You can block it with a browser extension or by turning off cookies for this site. The site also stores one small flag so the opening animation only plays once per visit; that flag never leaves your device.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, quote and deliver the work you ask for, invoice you, and keep a record of the job. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.
Who we share it with
Enquiries from this site are delivered by Netlify, which hosts the site and stores form submissions on our behalf. Email is handled by our email provider. Where a job needs it, we may share your details with a printer, a hosting or domain provider, or another contractor working on your project, and only what they need to do the work. Some of these providers store data outside Australia.
Photos of people
If you or your staff appear in photos we shoot, we will agree with you how they can be used before publishing anything. We may ask to show finished work in our own portfolio and on social media. You can say no, or withdraw permission later, by contacting us.
Storage and security
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our legal obligations, then delete them. Files are stored on password-protected devices and reputable cloud services. No system is perfectly secure, so if we become aware of a breach that is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@guestymedia.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not happy with how we handle a complaint you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
